What is a Myth?
To start things off in the "On Being" department I offer you this video I made about myths. I feel like mythology has things to offer us, or rather, those that create the myths out of some deep knowing, or are given, or find, the mythical stories in some trance-induced state, have something to offer us.
Delving into what myths are, what they deal with, and what their purpose is.
And I was curious. How to myths work? What is their purpose? So I went digging for answers, mostly in the transcripts of the PBS Power of Myth interviews that Bill Moyers did with Joseph Campbell, who was one of America’s leading lights in comparative mythology.
